Stick A Fork In It ~ Week 18? Is Done

Monday, 11 April 2011 18:51 by Ritch

Xander Kiwi 94

We drove Xander to Massey University in Palmerston North on Friday, 29th October 2010 to have specialist Richard Kuipers von Lande BVSC, CertVR, CertSAS, MRCVS, MACVSc physically look at and take extensive radiographs of his rear right limb and remove the 25 surgical staples after his 9 weeks of house confinement.

DIAGNOSTIC FINDINGS:

The forks have loosened in the plate which is helping to stabilize the tibial tuberosity. However the bone is healing well and the tibia crest and patellar are still in the right place.

DIAGNOSIS:

Xander is healing well post TTA/TTT despite loosening of the implant.

PROGNOSIS:

Good

INSTRUCTIONS:

Ideally we would like to see Xander again in 6 weeks for repeat radiographs to check that the implant has not shifted and that everything is still in the correct place and he will require an additional 6 weeks of house confinement.
